How to Adopt from Calgary Humane SocietyIf you are interested in any of the animals shown on our website, call (403) 205-4455, e-mail us, or visit our Shelter at 4455 - 110 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. Adoption is open from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. weekdays, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Phone lines open at 8:00 a.m. weekdays. Adoptions stop one-half hour prior to closing. (You can visit with dogs from 11:00am until 6:30pm weekdays, 10:00am - 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday.) Please note that each animal has a reference number. When referring to the pet you are interested in, please refer to its number. Cost to Adopt: Cats There's a reduced rate if you adopt two cats. Includes:

As well, the Calgary Humane Society has a number of other species of animals available for adoption, including birds, small rodents and iguanas. We are able to put animals on hold for short periods of time so adopters can meet our adoption requirements. Holds cannot be placed over the telephone as the lifestyle survey must be completed and reviewed in person. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older to sign the Adoption Contract. Copies of our Adoption Policy and Criteria are available by clicking on Adoption Policies on the submenu to the left. Because little is known about these animals when they come to the Shelter, the Society may not be able to guarantee their health or behaviour. Animal Services also has cats and dogs available for adoption.
