Bibliography
With so many books out there now it is often difficult to glean out the best stuff and we can’t possibly list all the books available! In general, when choosing references, look for positive reinforcement, practicality, and methods which Discourage punishment and Encourage reward, distraction and interrupters.
As for dog training tools, many of the excellent authors listed still advocate the use of correction collars. The Calgary Humane Society uses martingale collars, buckle and head collars in our training programs, but this is a progression of training which is changing slowly and these books offer too much GOOD information to delete them because of one difference in method...
